LEEDY Vintage 1920's SOLID MAHOGANY 1-PLY 14" Street Snare Drum

Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1920's Leedy model # 3182 "ACADEMY STREET DRUM".
There is no name badge on this drum but the letter "L" is stamped into the brass tension knob on the snare strainer mechanism.
The wooden shell measures 10" deep x 14" wide and is made up out of a single ply of African Mahogany, the interior is reinforced with twin solid-maple glue-rings.
Both the interior and exterior are factory finished in a beautiful natural mahogany. As you can see from my pictures, the natural wood finish is in amazing condition and it glows with fire and warmth.
This drum is factory equipped with eight Leedy single tension rods & hooks, two solid-maple counter hoops, and a single snare cable tensioner and matching butt plate. All of the metal parts are nickel plated and are in good condition with some aging and patina.
A new Aquarian American Vintage drum head is installed on the top while the bottom head is a vintage REMO model. The original cable snare wires are in perfect condition and are hand-laced through the butt plate and snare tensioner.
