    Description

    Cheers Mates
What you are looking at is over 100
years of snare drum history. This is a Walberg & Auge Perforated 16 lug all wood Snare Drum. Serial #1595. The drums description is as follows: this is a
    6.5"x14"
Maple shell with 15 perforated button holes manufactured from 1910-1920 in Worchester, Massachusetts USA. This is an all original drum. The drum has 16 Nickel finish thumb screw tension lugs, the original wood rims with matching serial numbers, nickel plated thumb screw snare tensioner, with 16 original wire wound silk snares and a three piece Nickel plated steel butt plate. This drum is sporting a new Evans Calftone batter head and a Remo Resonate snare head. The interior of the drum still has the original Walberg & Auge Decal  (See photos). The drums interior finish and both hoops are all in there original finish. The drums outer shell
    finish
is not original. The shell and rims do have some cracks on the interior and exterior of the drums shell, none of them affect the tone or the playing integrity of this drum.  The drum shell is in perfect round and the bearing edges are in excellent condition for a drum of this age. Included in this sale is the original Calfskin batter head (note the calf head has a tear in it and would be good for display purposes only) The drum sounds and performs very well and has a great rich and deep wood tone and has great projection to it. I believe this is the only drum of its
    dimensions
and model for sale on the internet. I do have additional photos if you are interested. This is an incredibly rare drum and would be an excellent addition to anyone's arsenal or collection! Most items I sell ship the same day of purchase from the USA. International shoppers are always welcome. I am happy to answer any questions you may have Thanks for looking,
    Keep makin sawdust!
