Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1960's Slingerland model # 146 "HOLLYWOOD ACE" snare drum.
Serial number is # 69877. There is no date stamp on the inside of the shell.
This gorgeous snare drum has a 3-ply wooden shell ( mahogany/poplar/maple ) that measures 5" deep x 14" wide. The inside of this beautiful drum is natural maple, while the exterior is factory wrapped in Slingerland's "Gold sparkle". The sparkle wrap is beautifully preserved, it is super glossy and looks great. My pictures make this drum look a lot darker than it really is.
This drum is factory equipped with eight Slingerland "Sound King" die-cast snare drum lugs, a Slingerland internal muffler, a Slingerland "Rapid" throwoff & butt plate, 16 Slingerland tension rods and two Slingerland solid brass "stick saver" hoops.
All of the metal parts are brilliantly triple-AAA "Diamond" chrome plated and they are in good condition . All of the fittings are original Slingerland pieces, even the snare wires and the bottom snare-side head are factory correct.
