Vtg 14" x 9" G MARCHING PARADE SNARE DRUM 6 RODS w/STRAP

Description

This was my dad's marching drum when he was a boy.  I don't know what year it is from.  He was born in the 1930's and died in 1965, so obviously somewhere between those dates.  I am guessing probably from the 40's?
I also don't know anything about drums.  Seriously, I am guessing this is a snare drum based on the size.  It is 9" tall and 13-5/8" wide.  The skin is torn and inside I can see a 5 digit number (# 10 340).  Maybe that means something to somebody?
It has the strap and (as far as I can tell) all the pieces.  The wood looks great.  The metal has the beginning of some surface pitting/tiny rust spots.
It would be great if you could pick it up.  I live in Los Angeles.  However, I am happy to ship but since it is so big, it seems pricey.
